Homework packed, ready to go!

I am feeling a little bit nervous about the cold but otherwise I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead. My Dad has made me take out all the good luck letters from my friend from my pulk -he says its too much additional weight! I am taking a lot of school homework with me so I don't get behind with my studies -so I will have quite a lot to think about in the tent after a days sledging.

I'm happy Dad and Rune are running the expedition. Their combined experience and polar exploration knowledge is immense.

We're just sitting around now waiting to hear if we can fly this afternoon.
