Will we fly, won't we fly?

Amelia has an air of complete tranquility -she seems quite unruffled by the events which are unfolding infront of us.It must be difficualt for her as most of us are 3 times her age so on a different planet!

There is a possibility that we will be flying south in about 2 1/2 hours time but nothing can be certain here -We have met a team of Norwegians who have suffered a frustrating week of waiting.

Some last minute shopping is underway but basically we are all set.The flight takes about 4 1/2 hours in an Ilyushin which lands on an Ice Runway at Union Glacier which is part of the Ellsworth Mountains and the springboard for expeditions and Mount Vinson
